It's always a hard decision trying to decide what you should keep and what you should throw away when it comes to decluttering your life. We are here to help. We really don't want to see you in an episode of "Hoarders" next season.

16 Things You Should Throw Away Immediately:

1. Obsolete Technology

Why would you hang onto these things? Unless you plan on opening an Outdated Tech Museum, toss it!

2. Boots That Are Beyond Repair

If you have to duct tape your boots together, it's time for a new pair. We don't care how broken in they are!

Time for new boots?

3. Expired Cosmetics

Not only are they messy, they also harbor unsafe bacteria that cause breakouts or real issues such a gnarly eye infection. Toss. Them. Now.

4. Your Kitchen Sponge

Speaking of harboring bacteria, a kitchen sponge is a bacterial playground. Replace them at least once per month.

5. Worn Out Socks

Want to keep your feet happy? Don't wear socks like these! Just throw them away, socks are cheap.

6. Outdated Clothing

Most likely, you aren't going to wear outdated clothing. If nothing else, sell it online to someone who will!

7. Wire Hangers

Remember when we listed Shocking Ways You are Ruining Your Clothes? Wire hangers were on the list.

8. Old Magazines

For some reason, these really stack up in our homes. But they take up unnecessary space and face it. You are never going back to read that article.

9. Unfinished Pinterest Projects

If you have multiple of these unfinished projects laying around, it's time to face the music. You aren't going to finish them. It's time to let them go.

10. Broken Appliances

It's not worth the repair bill to have them fixed and you sure don't need them cluttering up the space. Time to say goodbye. We know it hurts.

11. Broken Toys

If your kids are like our kids, they have too much stuff anyway. Trust us when we say they aren't going to miss the one-armed Gremlin.

12. Your Toothbrush

If your toothbrush looks like these, it's time to toss them. Just kidding. But really. You are supposed to change your toothbrush every 3 months. Really.

13. Dead Batteries

They aren't coming back to life. Toss them, responsibly, of course. But get rid of them!

14. 99.9 Percent of Items in Your Junk Drawer

We all have one, but most of the stuff needs to go. Come on, you can do it!

15. Expired Meds

Yep. Medications expire. And they can be become dangerously overly potent (or completely ineffective) either way, you don't want to risk it.

16. Expired Food

You will be amazed at what all you find that is way beyond expired when you clean out the pantry. It's a little scary!
