6 Weird Things Couples in Long-Term Relationships Do
Sometimes when you've been in a relationship for a long time, you get seriously comfortable. That's not a bad thing, but it can get pretty weird really quickly.
6 Weird Things Couples in Long-Term Relationships Do:
1. You lose control of bodily functions.
In the beginning stages of your relationship, you wouldn't have dreamed of burping or farting in the company of the other. But once you get several years under your belt and eat dinner together in public in sweats-- all inhibitions are gone.
2. You act silly.
Something about being in a long-term relationship can sometimes transport you right back to junior high. You send ridiculous selfies to each other in the middle of the work day or you start laughing uncontrollably at random words because of the inside jokes they remind you of. Yep, junior high.
3. You demonstrate affection through chores.
You take out the trash, unload the dishwasher or fill up the car when it's not your turn...just to show you care. This may seem weird, but the power of completed chores is almost magical.
4. You dress alike.
On more than one occasion, you have walked into a room together and suddenly notice that you both have on jeans, a white tee and boots.
5. You text each other from the opposite side of the room.
You know you've sent a text to your significant other asking if they will bring you a glass of water or to order takeout.
6. You give each other weird nicknames.
"Honey Sugar Face," "Pepper Jelly," "Sweet Pants" and "JuJu Baby" are just a few the names you call each other in private. (Or at least we hope it's only in private.)
