As the ACM Awards nominations began to roll in, I was pleasantly surprised by a few of the categories. But, then, I had a few questions. Not to mention, there were a few snubs out there too.

Keith Urban, deservedly, leads the pack with seven nominations this year. Maren Morris racked up five. This makes sense.

Surprise!
Thomas Rhett's nod for Male Vocalist of the Year is huge, when you consider that Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton and Eric Church weren't nominated.

Surprise!
Big & Rich snuck in for Vocal Duo of the Year, which shouldn't be that shocking. They are two of the hardest working guys in the game.

Question?
Eli Young Band for Vocal Group of the Year? And Lady Antebellum? Maybe we should include less nominees with categories don't have enough up for eligibility. They did it in the New Female Vocalist Category.

Question?
Why is Chris Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey" nominated for Song of the Year?

Question?
How is Thomas Rhett's "Die A Happy Man" eligible? He won ACM Single of the Year-- last year.

YAS!
"Forever Country" getting two nominations is one of the coolest things to ever happen in country music-- this was a song and video put together to celebrate the 50th Annual CMA Awards-- nice move, ACMs.
