Condolences are going out to country singer Ashley McBryde. The 34-year-old and her family are dealing with the tragic loss of her 53-year-old brother Clay McBryde.

The obituary for William Clayton McBryde Jr. reveals that Ashley’s brother, a Russellville, Ark., resident, died Wednesday, June 20, at his home. The father of one is survived by his wife of seven months, Tanya McBryde, his son Bradley McBryde, three brothers, two sisters—including Ashley—and father William McBryde Sr.

Clay married Tanya McBryde, on November 22, 2017, and served 25 years as an officer with the Russellville Police Department and as well as serving 4 years in the Army.

Ashley, who just announced he release of her new single “Radioland,” took to Instagram to thank her road family for being there for her during this tragic time. “Your band is your family much of the time. This week my guys have held me up through something I couldn’t even imagine. Thank you @deadhorsetheband. And thank you for getting me to my family as fast as we can do it. My love for you is unmeasurable,” she wrote.

In a separate post, in lieu of flowers, Ashley shared a website for donations in honor of her brother.

“For those who have asked about flowers and donations, my nephew has asked that we make donations to Mission 22 in my brother’s honor. Please note that the donation is in honor of Clay McBryde. Thank you ever so much.”

Mission 22 is an organization that helps treat veterans with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and bring awareness to the fight against veteran suicide.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the McBryde family at this time.
