Blake Shelton has finally spoken out about his divorce from Miranda Lambert.
The news broke in July and sent shockwaves through the country music world, but the divorced couple tweeting at each other seemed to cause even more of a ruckus. During an interview with Bobby Bones, Blake finally spoke out on everything and the superstars’ decision to remain friends.
“In Oklahoma, it happens so fast. Like, Miranda and I didn’t have any kids, and we had a pre-nuptial agreement, whatever we had. Once we filed for divorce, it was over in, like, I think it was like a nine or ten day waiting period until it’s over,” Blake told Bobby.
Eventually he even told the radio show host, “Our whole thing was, we are going to be cool about this, it is what it is. We’re buddies.”
Blake is currently in Nashville to play a free show for his record label. He was also recently nominated for CMA Musical Event of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year.
