There’s nothing like starting an interview on an awkward note. You know, really making someone uncomfortable on the air to set the mood. Bobby Bones is no stranger to personal questions or putting artists on the spot. So, when he found out that “everyone” except him was invited to hang Jason Aldean’s house the night before their interview, he pushed to find out why.

“Uh, I didn’t send out the invites,” Aldean said while avoiding eye contact. “That’s above my pay grade.”

He went on to give Bones a standing invite to his house alongside his other constant house guests Tyler Farr, his sister, his nieces, daughters, parents – it’s a happening place.

Aldean pressed through the awkwardness to talk about his upcoming album, his new song with Miranda Lambert, and the one song he wishes he didn’t have to play live (“Don’t You Want To Stay” because it’s a duet and hard to pull off solo).
