Brad Paisley is always good for a laugh. We know this because we’ve witnessed the “I’m Gonna Miss Her” singer’s comedy chops in action as host of the CMA awards for the past ten years. Brad revealed those chops again Thursday night on the “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
The 45-year-old stopped by to celebrate the summer with a performance of “Water,” and talk about hosting the CMA Awards for an eleventh consecutive year. Brad revealed that Carrie’s pregnancy will play a part in the show, giving him something to joke about.
As Brad was talking to the late night host, they discussed some tunes Brad performs that had not been released. “I wrote one recently that’s about that first romance, do you remember yours?,”Brad asked Jimmy while grabbing his guitar. “I bet it’s a similar story to mine.”
“First date / first kiss / first taste of loving / you were my first cousin,” he began as the audience and Jimmy burst out laughing. “We got in big trouble with your dad / my uncle / cause you were my first / and I’ll always be your first / and our children will be second cousins.”
Brad is currently on the road for his Brad Paisley Live in Concert Tour with Kane Brown and Dan Tyminski. You can catch his humor when he hosts the CMA awards with Carrie Underwood on Nov. 14 at Bridgestone Arena on ABC.
