Brad Paisley Joins Hank Williams Jr. for Rocking Rendition of “I’m Gonna Get Drunk and Play Hank Williams”

Brad Paisley joined his friend Hank Williams Jr. on stage for a rocking duet of “I’m Gonna Get Drunk and Play Hank Williams.”

The two friends were performing at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, with Hank Jr. opening the show. During Hank Jr.’s set, he introduced his “real friend” Brad to join him on stage for perform the 2012 cut from Hank Jr’s album Old School New Rules. Brad and Hank brought it back to 2012, when Brad was featured on vocals for the song.

Hank kicked off the tune by taking the first verse and trading off with Brad. The heartbreak song has the two crooning about being heartbroken and just getting drunk and listening to Hank Williams Sr. songs.

My good gal left and I can’t stand the pain / When she walked out my teardrops fell like rain / So set-em up joe and give me some dimes / I’ve got an appointment with a friend of mine / I’m gonna get drunk and play Hank Williams all night long,” Hank Jr. kicked off the song.

Brad took to social media to share the performance with a stimple statement. “The LEGEND! @hankjr,” he wrote in the post.

Brad’s next stop will take him to Calgary, Canada for the Calgary Stampede on July 13, while Hank Jr. will make his way to Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casno on July 20.
