All eyes are on America’s health professionals who are on the frontline of fighting the rapidly spreading coronavirus pandemic. While the most that some of us have been able to do to express our gratitude for their hard work and sacrifice is to say thanks and offer up prayers, some of Nashville’s most beautiful voices, including Brad Paisley, Amy Grant and Dustin Lynch, are encouraging fans to utilize the new “Gratitunes” platform to say thanks to Nashville’s Vanderbilt University Medical Center staff.

On the new Gratitunes website, fans of music and medical personnel can add their own song of gratitude to a playlist which will be made available to Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s COVID-19 assessment sites along with the hospital. The hope is that the music will help lessen stress and anxiety and lift spirits. After someone adds a song to the playlist, they’ll receive a special graphic that can be shared on social media with the hashtags #Gratitunes and #VUMCHeroes that will encourage others to add to the playlist as well.

Brad, Amy and Dustin are already confirmed to share Gratitunes on their respective Instagram pages, as are Lauren Alaina, Lindsay Ell, Sara Evans, Amy Grant, Jewel, Walker Hayes and hit songwriter Shane McAnally.

Brad took to Instagram to share his first tune “Southern Comford Zone.”

“Today on National Doctors Day, I am sharing my Gratitune “Southern Comfort Zone” with the staff at @vanderbilthealth to show my gratitude and support for the hard work they are doing to keep our community safe,” Brad wrote alongside the video. “Join me by visiting www.gratitunes.com and submitting your own #Gratitunes to the playlist to be enjoyed by the doctors, nurses, and medical staff on the frontlines of fighting COVID-19.  You can also send a message of encouragement by using the hashtags #VUMCHeroes and #Gratitunes in your social posts! Let’s use the power of music to spread joy and send thanks to these incredible men and women.”

In addition to musical contributions, the Gratitunes website is also accepting monetary donations which will be used to purchase much-needed PPE and to provide childcare service for medical staffers who are working around the clock to keep us all safe and healthy.

Expect others to join in on the fun and musical therapy. And don’t forget to wash your hands.
