The country music garden just grew by one little rosebud. Brantley Gilbert, wife Amber and big brother Barrett have gone from a little family of three to a family of four with the arrival of baby girl Braylen Hendrix on September 9.
According to People, the beautiful and alert little bundle made her pink carpet debut at 1:18 in the afternoon at Piedmont Hospital in Athens, Georgia. She weighed a petite 6-pounds, 7- ounces, just like her 22-month-old big brother, and measures 19 1/2-inches long.
The sentimental second-time dad says that both mother and daughter are doing just fine, and Amber confirms on her Instagram, “We’re smitten, of course, and so grateful for a healthy, happy baby girl.”
On his upcoming album, Fire and Brimstone (out October 4), Brantley has penned a moving tribute to his children that he started as soon as they found out Amber was expecting Barrett.
“We couldn’t even tell family yet as it was so early along in the pregnancy — yet I couldn’t keep that excitement bottled up,” he said. “I had to do something as all these emotions were hitting me at once. I wrote ‘Man That Hung the Moon’ on the bus heading home thinking how life was about to change in the most incredible ways.”
Congratulations to the entire Gilbert family.
