Reba McEntire received one of the most prestigious honors a musician can receive at the Kennedy Center Honors and she brought her friends Brooks & Dunn along for the celebration.

Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, longtime friends of the country superstar, took the stage to perform Reba’s 1994 as a tribute to their friend. Reba was seated in the balcony with fellow nominees and her boyfriend Scooter seated behind her.

Kix kicked off the song taking the first verse and Ronnie joined in the chorus and took over the second verse. Reba enjoyed the performance by her friends, giving the duo a standing ovation as they completed the song.

Reba and a very prestigious class of honorees were honored at the 2018 Kennedy Center Honors during the ceremony in Washington, D.C. Along with Cher, Wayne Shorter, Philip Glass and the creators of “Hamilton” Lin-Manuel Miranda, Thomas Kail, Alex Lacamoire and Andy Blankenbuehler, Reba accepted the honor.
