Brothers Osborne’s John Osborne and his wife, Lucie Silvas, were a wreck when their beloved golden doodle, Barley, ran away on New Year’s Eve. Thankfully, their pup was found unharmed hours later at brother TJ’s home several miles away.
Still upset over the occurrence, John and Lucie sat down with their dog to deliver a stern parental lecture. The sweet video shows their concern over their young family member.
“Sometimes you have to sit down and talk with your children. Person to person,” John shares on Instagram.
Seated with stern looks on their faces, John and Lucie begin to lecture Barley.
“Look. We need to talk. You can’t just run off like that,” John explains before his wife chimes in.
“It’s not that your father and I don’t trust you, it’s just that you’re at that age that you can be easily influenced by things,” Lucie continues.
The couple then explain that they’re simply concerned parents and need to know where their pup is at all times of the day. “You need to call us, text us, anything. We were petrified,” John adds.
“We’re just concerned parents. You understand?” Lucie says.
The camera then pans to Barley, who is seated on the couch in front of them as she looks on intently during their talk.
Following Barley’s escape from their home on New Year’s Eve, Lucie said once they returned from their trip to New Zealand they would be putting a tracking device on her. According to another Instagram post by John, their pet traveled five miles from their home in East Nashville to his brother’s house.
“FOUND!!! She freaked because of fireworks then left my (John’s) house and walked 5 miles/6 hrs to TJ’s. Haha. Unbelievable,” John shares on Brothers Osborne’s Instagram page. “Thank y’all for the kind words. Happy New Year!!!”
