If you ever thought the Brothers Osborne weren’t serious about releasing old school, full-tilt, outlaw-ish country music, well, their new single, “Shoot Me Straight” will surely change your mind.

It’s been 2 years since the Brothers released their debut album, Pawn Shop, which resulted in a couple of GRAMMY nominations and a few Duo of the Year trophies, plus a CMA Video of the Year win.

The song clocks in at 6 minutes and 45 seconds, but more than half of that is John Osborne just shredding on the guitar, with a funky ’70s groove helping him keep the vibe up.

Not much info on when the Brothers will drop their sophomore album, but we do know this is the first single from the project.
