“The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.” You might want to add country music tours to that list since Carrie Underwood has had two tour stops postponed now due to NBA playoff games.

The Scotiabank Arena just announced that Carrie’s Cry Pretty Tour 360 set for June 9 in Toronto will be rescheduled due to the Toronto Raptor’s advancement in the NBA finals.

“Due to the Raptors advancing to the NBA Finals & the technical set up requirements of the league, the Carrie Underwood concert on June 9, 2019 will be rescheduled to a later date still to be announced. All tickets for the June 9 concert will be valid for the newly announced date,” the Arena wrote.

All is not lost. Fans with tickets for the Toronto date will be given a new date to catch Carrie’s Cry Pretty Tour 360.

Fans were quick to express their disappointment and distress over the news since many were traveling into the area specifically for the show.

One wrote, “I was so excited and I’m flying in from Nova Scotia. Now I have to pay for another flight when they rebook…could be worse I know but it sure sucks.”

Another reminded fans not to “throw in the towel” and to talk to the airlines about simply rescheduling your travel dates. “People need to first try and talk with airlines and see if they can just change the tickets for the next concert date. You are Not Canceling, but just need to fly out on a different date. Don’t throw in the towel and not talk to the airline.”

We can’t help but feel bad for the parents of one little girl who had been counting down the days. Her mom tweeted, “This is super disappointing, especially for our eight year old daughter who has literally been counting down the days for this concert for the past 9 months when she got the tickets for her 8th birthday. We will try to make it to a different city if refunds are available.”

And one fan’s disappointment was utterly heartbreaking. She wrote, “This is very disappointing on so many levels. This concert is all I have been looking forward through out my battle with breast cancer :( The champion is the song that got me through my really tough days.”

This is the second time this year that Carrie’s shows have been bumped for basketball games. Earlier in May, her stop at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California was rescheduled from May 16 to May 17 when the Golden State Warriors hosted game two of the Western Conference finals.
