Carrie Underwood fans would question if anyone could be as amazing as their favorite country music superstar. She’s talented, she’s kind, she’s smart, she’s funny, she’s pretty much perfect. But there’s a possibility that husband Mike Fisher is just as amazing as he embarks on his own music career.
Mike has created a pair of parodies of country songs, but the avid outdoorsman has tweaked the lyrics a bit to convey the amount of passion that he feels for…hunting?
In the first, Mike puts a spin on the lyrics to the Lonestar classic, “Amazed.” In his version, Mike weaves the tale of the monster buck that he has watched grow until he got the chance to harvest the animal. In the video, Mike sings with tongue-in-cheek passion and one has to commend his acting chops. It took some skill to do this with a straight face.
After Mike posted the video on his Instagram, Carrie had something to say about it.
“Don’t make me unfollow you,” she said jokingly.
This actually isn’t the first time that Mike has taken liberties with a country music hit, however, the first time he did it, he took on his wife’s gigantic smash, “Before He Cheats.” Mike’s version of the song is “Before She Bleats,” again tapping into his love of hunting. The former NHL star tags his video with his Catchin Deers website, the apparel brand that he and his brother started to promote the hunting lifestyle.
You might be asking yourself, “Isn’t Carrie a vegetarian?” Yes, she is, but she’s also a loving wife who supports her husband and his interests just as he supports hers.
