One question that entertainers often get asked is if anyone else in the family is musical. Carrie Underwood proved that she comes from talented genes when her mother stepped on stage at her hometown show in Oklahoma.

As you might know, Carrie has invited a special guest, from each region she has performed in, to join her on stage for “The Champion.” The guest breaks down the spoken portion, the Ludacris part, of the song with Carrie supporting them along the way. And at the October 24 show at the BOK Center, it was Carole Underwood’s turn.

Dressed tastefully in what appears to be leather pants (Go Mom!) and a sparkly sweater, Mom walks out on the stage, never taking her eyes off of her youngest daughter, and begins her performance:

“The C is for the courage I possess through the drama /H is for the hurt but it’s all for the honor / A is for my attitude working through the patience / Money comes and goes so the M is for motivation / Gotta stay consistent, the P is to persevere / The I is for integrity, innovative career / The O is optimistic, open and never shut / And the N is necessary ’cause I’m never giving up / See they ask me how I did it, I just did it from the heart / Crushing the competition, been doing it from the start / They say that every champion is all about his principles.”

Carrie shared the moment on Instagram saying, “Got to share the stage with this amazing champion tonight! Of course, I’m talking about my mom! She crushed it!”

She also posted a video of her Mom’s performance and her hashtag may win the internet: “#MyMomsCoolerThanYourMom.”

Well done Underwood ladies.
