It’s finally happening! Carrie Underwood’s highly anticipated Cry Pretty 360 Tour is finally in motion, and that means that life for the mother of two little boys has gotten a little crazier.
But don’t cry pretty for this superstar singer and songwriter. She tells Today’s Natalie Morales that she’s just like any other working mom.
After Natalie commented that Carrie had set the bar high by going on tour with her four-year-old and three month old in tow, the talented beauty was quick to say, “But it’s all the same. My job’s just different. It’s just a little different. The working ‘Momville’ thing, we’re all just in it together.” She went on to say, “Everything that we all do is just as difficult but in different ways. I know what it’s like to juggle, that’s just what parents do.”
Carrie also said that since her fall that resulted in an injury to her face and wrist, she is stronger and more confident.
“The more you go through in life—even though at the time you’re not understanding why things happen the way they happen—when you come out on the other side, you still might not understand why, but you come out on the other side stronger and you take that knowledge and what you learned from those difficult circumstances and you figure things out,” she said.
Of course, the question of more children came up in the conversation and Carrie didn’t dismiss the idea entirely, saying, “It was such a difficult road to get where we are now and I’ll have to evaluate after this tour is over. Then we can talk about what’s next.”
She added, “I’ve been a lot of kinda live in the moment lately and I think that’s good. I am kind of a planner and I do like knowing what’s around every corner. And if there’s anything that the last couple of years have taught me it’s that you don’t know what’s going to happen next. There’s no way that you can plan for everything or make everything be the way that you want it, but it’s been good for me to be present and live in the moment, and stop trying so hard to plan out the entire rest of my life.”
