Decked out in black leather pants and cropped jacket to match, Carrie kicks off the song with lyrics, “Everybody’s ready for the party / everywhere coast to coast / come on we’re just getting started / been waiting all day let’s go / the gang’s all here for a throw down / a rowdy crowd rocking the place / the Bears and the Pack in a showdown / fired up and ready to play / game on.”

Interspersed with Carrie’s performance are images of football players including, Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott, Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff, Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins, and Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz. getting ready for action. Also included are hosts Cris Collinsworth, Al Michaels and Michele Tafoya, along with footage of the Bears and Packers going head to head.

Past seasons had Carrie singing “Oh, Sunday Night,” to the tune of her hit with Miranda Lambert, “Something Bad.” This changed this season when Carrie revealed the new song “Game On,” to change things up after five years.

The Green Bay Packers went on to beat the Chicago Bears 24-23 in a second half comeback. And Sunday night football has begun. Carrie and crew will return each Sunday to kick off the night.
