Chris Lane spent some time with his nephew recently and it turns out music runs in the family! The singer filmed himself hanging out with his nephew, who he says wants to form a duo. The only problem? He won’t let Chris sing.

“Cally’s exact words were…’Chris, I wanna be in a group just me and you and I wanna sing new phone who’s this’ but he wouldn’t let me sing,” Chris captions an adorable video clip of himself sitting on the porch playing guitar as his nephew sings his song. “He told me I could only play guitar so as the greatest uncle in the world I shut up and played his guitar! Some Duo We Are Cally!!”

In the sweet clip, Cally sings Chris’ song “New Phone, Who’s This” featured on his recently released sophomore album, Laps Around the Sun.

“Yeah you kicked me to the curb / You took my favorite shirt, now you got the nerve girl / To blow me up like I’m 911 / With the ‘Where you at, what you doing, what’s up’ yeah / Girl you’re kidding me, you’re killing me / You’re messing up my buzz / ‘Cause you keep texting that you missing what we was / You want my love, you want my kiss / All I gotta say is ‘New phone, who’s this?'” he sings on the chorus.

“New Phone, Who’s This” was written by Rhett Akins, Marv Green, and Matt Dragstrem. This isn’t the first time Cally tried his hand at the song though. In a post a week ago, Chris shared his nephew passionately singing the track. Perhaps it’s time Chris brought his nephew on the road with him?
