Chris Lane Announces Sophomore Album, ‘Laps Around the Sun’

-

Chris Lane is set to release his sophomore album this summer following the success of his current single, “Take Back Home Girl,” featuring Tori Kelly. The 14-track album, titled Laps Around the Sun, will be available on July 13.

The project was produced by Joey Moi (Florida Georgia Line) and includes songs penned by Chris and FGL’s Brian Kelley. Laps Around the Sun is currently available for pre-order and upon purchase, fans will receive an instant download of three songs including “Fishin'” as well as “All the Right Problems” and “Old Flame.”

“I’ve learned a lot. With my first record, I was trying to figure out exactly what kind of sound I wanted to have, and now I know. I know what I truly love and what kind of artist I want to be,” Chris tells Billboard of his new project. “My goal was to make sure anyone who hears this album finds a song they can relate to. I hope I accomplished that.”
