Chris Young turns 33 today (June 12), and in a short video clip posted to Twitter, he thanks his fans for the countless birthday wishes.
“Thanks for all the birthday wishes and the best gift I could have…my job!” he shares.
Alongside his thank you note, the singer posted a video that showcased his special experience with fans during CMA Fest 2018 when he decided to host an autograph signing. On June 10, the singer revealed he’d be in downtown Nashville for a last minute appearance.
“What’s up guys! Haven’t done a signing in the convention center yet this year so… I think I’m gonna go do one. Surprise! See you at my booth at 1pm. I’ll be there for a few hours,” he revealed on Twitter.
Chris later tells his video crew his reasoning: “I haven’t done one yet this year, so I figured we should choose this week.” Cameras then cut to hundreds of fans waiting in line to meet the “Losing Sleep” singer. Many fans posed for pictures and received autographs with Chris, and one fan was visibly starstruck.
“This better than meeting Steven Tyler,” a female fan marvels. “This is the best day of my life!”

“CMA Fest 2018 is officially in the books. Thank you to everybody that came out and stood in line,” Chris later adds. “Two-and-a-half hours of saying hey to people. You guys are amazing. You are that the reason this whole thing grows and my career grows and everybody else’s career grows, so thank you. I love you guys! I’ll see you at CMA Fest next year!”
Earlier in the week, Chris announced from his fan club party that he’ll be extending his Losing Sleep 2018 World Tour and revealing new dates at the end of June. The singer will be taking along Dan + Shay, Morgan Evans and Dee Jay Silver for the trek.
Happy Birthday, Chris.
