Break-ups are difficult fact of life, but thanks to Chris Young and Lauren Alaina, country music fans have a fresh tonic for their summer heartache.

After a day or two of teasing, Chris and Lauren have released their new collaboration, “Town Ain’t Big Enough.”

Written by Chris, Cary Barlow, Corey Crowder and Dan + Shay’s Shay Mooney, who also provides background vocals, “Town Ain’t Big Enough” is reminiscent of Chris’ previous duet with Cassadee Pope, “Think of You,” in that the couple in the song can’t seem to get enough distance between each other to fully heal.

However, where the tune differs is in the thoughtful production that ebbs and flows with the emotion of the song and the ache conveyed through Chris and Lauren’s vocals.

In fact, the pair’s vocals work so beautifully together, they could easily become the next in a line of legendary duets that include such iconic duos as Tammy Wynette and George Jones, Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty, June Carter and Johnny Cash, and Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.

“Town Ain’t Big Enough” is currently available on digital and streaming services, while Chris’ current rowdy smash, “Raised on Country,” continues its rise at country radio.

It’s been a great year for both of these young artists. Chris is gearing up for the release of his eighth studio album while headlining his Raised on Country Tour (with Eli Young Band and Matt Stell) which Chris has now extended through November with 19 new dates. Lauren is headed to the U.K. for a run of shows before she returns to the states for fair and festival dates.
