Garth Brooks has kept his three daughters, Allie, Taylor and August, out of the spotlight growing up…until now.
In a post on Instagram, Garth shared a black and white photo of himself, his wife Trisha Yearwood and daughter Allie Colleen as he shared news about her music career.
Allie posted a new video on her Youtube page of the song as she works in the studio for the recording. The new song, “Work in Progress,” has the young Brooks singing about growing up to become the best version of herself over time.
“I go my own way / try to walk a straight line / still trouble finds me time after time / I flirt with disaster /I court distress / I’m a work in progress,” she sings to kick off the song.
The youngest daughter of Garth Brooks has been sharing covers of country songs including, Maren Morris’ A Song For Everything,” Julia Michaels “Worst in Me” and Ariana Grande’s “Thank You, Next.”
As far as following in her famous dad’s footsteps, it was a no brainer for the 23-year-old. ““I’m not good at anything else,’’ she said in an interview with Cleveland.com. “I’m not athletic’’ and not really the type to be “shoved into a cubicle.’ There’s just something about music. As a girl who struggles with confidence, it’s the only thing I know I’m good at.’’
It’s easy to hear that talent runs in the family. You can download Allie’s new song “Work In Progress” here.
