Hoda Kotb Gets Surprise Birthday Serenade From Thomas Rhett and Family, Kelly Clarkson and More

On the occasion of her 54th birthday on Thursday (Aug. 9,) Today show host Hoda Kotb went to work…and for good reason! There were a ton of birthday wishes awaiting her!

The first one was from singing superstar Kelly Clarkson, who sang a rendition of “Happy Birthday” that she could probably sell on iTunes. She sounded so good! “I love you girl,” Clarkson said at the end of the taped performance. “I hope you have a rad day. You deserve it!”

That serenade was then followed up by an adorable piece of video from country star Thomas Rhett and family. “Thomas Rhett has the most adorable wife and kids,” Kotb said after watching their footage. “Like, (he has) the most beautiful family. Wow. I can’t believe they went to all that trouble. So nice.”

And what kind of birthday would it be without a little message from Kotb’s crush Blake Shelton! “Happy Birthday,” the country star said. “I love you!”

Of course, the true loves of Kotb’s life is her family, including her adorable daughter Haley. “I can’t believe I get to have her,” Kotb said emotionally after she watched her daughter clap along with the birthday song.

Happy Birthday, Hoda! I’m so happy to share the same birthday because you, girlfriend, are an inspiration!

Dying ❤️
