Whether you still live at home with your parents or you’re a grown adult out on your own, parents are never going to stop being parents and doing parent-like things. Even if you’re Jake Owen.
Jake Owen took to Twitter to share a hilarious text exchange between him and his dad, and it’s the most relatable thing ever. First, Jake texted his dad a picture of himself playing golf at Pebble Beach. His dad responded at 7 a.m. with a completely random piece of advice for Jake about his hair.
“Don’t let your hair grow out. You are a great looking guy with short hair. Longer hair makes you look older.” I mean, his dad isn’t wrong.

Jake is currently prepping for his “Life’s Whatcha Make It” tour that kicks off in Chattanooga on May 18. He’ll be touring with Chris Janson and newcomer Jordan Davis for over 20 shows across the country.
“I really do believe that life’s whatcha make it,” said Jake of his tour. “If you wake up feeling positive, there’s a pretty good chance that you’ll see things throughout the day in a positive light. I think concerts are like that— it’s what you make it. People show up to have a good time and the artists on stage feel that too. A lot of my songs over the years have pointed to that idea. The fact that we’re playing baseball parks on Friday and Saturday nights throughout the summer, when people are ready to get out, have a good time, and don’t have to work the next day, is really cool. And, I’m so pumped to have Chris Janson and Jordan Davis on the bill with me. It’s going to be an awesome tour. I’m fired up!”
