Just before Brynn Cartelli took home the crown as the winner of “The Voice,” the reality competition brought out some big guns to perform during the finale. Jason Aldean did the honors as he hit the stage to perform “Drowns the Whiskey,” a cut from his latest album Rearview Town.

The ballad, written by Brandon Kinney, Jeff Middleton and Josh Thompson, features vocals from Miranda Lambert. However, Miranda Lambert was not in attendance for the finale performance.

Decked out in a red leather jacket, tight jeans and his signature pocket chain, Jason belted out the song about using Whiskey to help forget about heartbreak. However, the brown stuff doesn’t seem to drown his memory.

Whiskey’s supposed to drown the memory / I’ve gone from one to one too many / And the thing that really gets me / Is how your memory drowns the whiskey,” Jason sings in the chorus.

Kelly Clarkson and Team Kelly took home a win with Brynn, in her first appearance as coach. The singer showed veteran coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine and Alicia Keys how it’s done. Stay tuned for Season 15 as Kelly takes on Blake, Adam and returning coach Jennifer Hudson.
