Jimmie Allen is currently on the road promoting his debut album, Mercury Lane. During a recent tour date in Rootstown, Ohio, the “Best Shot” singer’s performance was halted when an unruly concertgoer started a fight. Noticing the rumble from the stage, Jimmie quickly addressed the fight.

In a video from a fan who was at the show, Jimmie is heard telling the concertgoer to “just relax.” When the concertgoer doesn’t settle down, he gets a little more aggressive and tells security to escort the man out of the venue.

“Just throw him out of here,” Jimmie says from the stage as he points in the direction of the disturbance. “Y’all come get this clown out of here, man, so we can have a good time. Hey, security, just pick him up and take him out of here, seriously.”

He continues, “We’re trying to have a good time so roll out, homeboy. We’ve got your money already. Appreciate you.”

Jimmie will spend the remainder of the month with Scotty McCreery as part of the singer’s Seasons Change Tour. He recently released his second single, “Make Me Want To,” which follows his first No. 1 hit with “Best Shot.” The success of his career-defining “Best Shot” made Jimmie the second African-American artist to nab a No. 1 hit with his debut single. Darius Rucker hit No. 1 in 2008 with his country debut “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It.”

“I’m humbled and grateful,” he said upon learning “Best Shot” hit No. 1. “It’s such an honor to get my first No. 1 and to know that my song is connecting with people and resonating in a way that hopefully makes us all better people in the end, because that’s really what ‘Best Shot’ is all about.”
