It took a few years, but Kacey Musgraves finally found herself inside of Studio 8-H as the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live."

As Garth Brooks once famously sang– it was bound to happen and one Saturday night it did, Kacey Musgraves played “Saturday Night Live” and wowed all the kids.

First, her bumper video was country music perfection as she rocked her signature cowboy hat and long locks.

Musgraves’ first song choice was the country-disco masterpiece, “High Horse” which featured a disco ball cowboy saddle hanging above her head and new backup singers. While “High Horse” doesn’t showcase Musgraves’ best straight-up country tune, it does have mass appeal and it’s catchy as all get out. She didn’t do as many dance moves to the groove train as we’ve seen her doing lately and that allowed everyone to focus on her giddy up, giddy up.

While I selfishly longed for her to sing “Space Cowboy” as her second number, she opted for “Slow Burn,” which has turned into a real favorite off of Golden Hour for scores of folks. This one was more of an opportunity to remind everyone that you can rock Gucci and country music without feeling like one isn’t working.
