We’ve always thought that Kacey Musgraves was pretty much flawless, but when the country singer-songwriter attending the iconic Met Gala on May 6 in New York, she confirmed it.

With a theme of “Camp: Notes on Fashion,” Kacey, who often opts for “campy” looks for her live performances, was the muse for Jeremy Scott for Moschino and the team from Barbie.

They created a perfectly pink ensemble that included a pink zippered floor length moto jacket over a pink leather mini skirt. She carried a fluffy pink wrap over her arm and accessorized with pink cat eye sunglasses and a pink hairdryer purse. Kacey completed the look with much lighter locks than her natural warm brunette and a coordinating pink lip.

One of the best parts about Barbie, though, is the accouterment that made her life so enviable, like her signature pink convertible, so it only made sense that Kacey would make her entrance to and exit from the event…in a pink convertible.

Kacey did give a little hint prior to her stroll down the carpet. She shared a image of her hand holding a tiny pair of pink Barbie sunglasses.  “MET Monday…!! 💕,” was all she wrote in the caption. Kacey revealed the complete outfit during her arrival.

Meanwhile, on Barbie’s Instagram page, she gave a bit of behind-the-scenes of the creation of Kacey’s pretty-in-pink wardrobe, including how it looked in miniature.

We think Kacey nailed it.
