It was 2007 when Brooks & Dunn released their last studio album, Cowboy Town, which featured their last single to reach the top of the charts, “Cowgirls Don’t Cry.” Fast forward to today and the dynamic duo has returned with a new album, Reboot.
But it’s not just any B&D album, Reboot features new artists from today’s country singing with the duo on their their hit songs. One song they released ahead of the April 5 release of the album is the collaboration with Kane Brown. Kane and B&D got together to re-record the duo’s 2008 Top 10 hit, “Believe.”
“I’ve never really sung in the studio with someone else, especially not with someone whose voice is as good as Ronnie’s,” Kane said about the process. “For him to be looking at me on the other side of the glass, and both of us singing, it was just awesome. It felt like we just got comfortable around each other, so we were really able to kill it.”
Kane took the emotional song to another level, choosing to kick off the song with his robust vocals. Kane and Ronnie went head-to-head to bring out the poignant meaning of the song. But there is no mistaking the vibrant vocals of Ronnie Dunn. It’s good to hear him belting out this faithful tune once again.
“I raise my hands, bow my head / I’m finding more and more truth in the words written in red / They tell me that there’s more to life than just what I can see / Oh I believe,” Kane sings, kicking off the song.
Reboot will be available on April 5th, featuring more B&D hits sung by new artists like Thomas Rhett, Brett Young, LANCO, Ashley McBryde, Brothers Osborne, Luke Combs, Midland, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, Tyler Booth, and Kacey Musgraves.
