Kane Brown’s passion for country music runs deep. Long before the 25-year-old was smashing records and garnering No. 1 singles of his own, he was covering the most popular country hits of years past.
The “Lose It” singer recently shared a video of his first time on stage. In the short clip, a young Kane is seen covering Tim McGraw’s 1995 chart topper “I Like It, “I Love It.” The video, dated July 23, 2005, shows an awkward Kane kicking off the song with some technical difficulties before getting comfortable and belting the Tim McGraw classic.
“12 years old my first time on stage singing the one and only @thetimmcgraw,” Kane captions the clip.
Kane kicks off the song and as he lowers the microphone from his mouth after some feedback, another man in the audience is shown walking up to the singer and placing a wide brimmed hat on his head. A big smile encroaches his face and Kane eases up by the time he gets to the chorus. Watch him cover Tim in the video below.
Kane is currently in the midst of tour rehearsals as he’ll be spending the majority of 2019 on the road as part of his Live Forever Tour. Days before the tour launches, the singer gave fans a preview of the trek in a behind-the-scenes video, also posted to social media.
Kane’s tour kicks off on Jan. 10 at Duluth, Ga. The Live Forever Tour continues through March and includes openers Granger Smith, RaeLynn, Danielle Bradbery, and Jimmie Allen on select dates.
