The sun was shining brightly down on Kane Brown as he celebrated his second No. 1 song, “Heaven,” on the rooftop of BMI in Nashville.
Surrounded by family, friends and industry folks who have been there from the beginning, Kane said a few words in front of the friendly crowd to accept his honor.
“I just want to say thanks to everybody out here that came to the party,” Kane said. I gotta thank everybody at Sony for working y’all’s butts off for me. My management, my band, all the writers, I love all y’all. And everybody else that’s worked with me and Nashville and that’s just really helped me out, thank you very much. You know I don’t talk long,” he added before leaving the mic.
A self-admitted man of few words, the 24-year-old was able to express his feelings on Instagram with a post to all his supporters.
“TODAY WAS AMAZING,” the singer wrote in all caps. “I ABSOLUTELY LOVE EVERYONE I WORK WITH!!! AND EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTS ME THANK YALL SO MUCH 🔥 (PLATINUM ALBUM ) (THERE GOES MY EVERYTHING IS GOLD) (FOUND YOU IS GOLD) (HEAVEN IS DOUBLE PLATINUM) (WHAT IFS IS TRIPLE PLATINUM)
“Heaven” is the follow-up to his first No. 1 hit, “What Ifs,” which features Lauren Alaina. The two friends took home the CMT Music Award for Collaborative Video of the Year.
As the Georgia native says in his hit song “Heaven,” “‘Cause, I don’t know how, I don’t know how heaven, heaven / Could be better than this.”
