One of the best parts of country music is seeing the connection that artists make with their fans. Whether it’s a hug in a meet-and-greet line or a message on social media, country stars find a way to show their appreciation to the people who make their lives possible. And while it isn’t unusual for performers to bring young fans on stage, Kane Brown may have received as big a gift as he gave to one excited little fan on February 23. And she certainly deserved it.
At the Youngstown, Ohio stop on the “Live Forever Tour,” Kane spotted the pretty young girl in the audience as she held a sign declaring “Kane, I Kicked Cancer’s Butt!”
Instagram video shows the exuberant beauty joining the country star on stage, and while children often become timid when they see the crowds and feel the lights, Amaya is embracing the moment and showing us how one cancer survivor lives her best life.
Amaya’s mom, Erin, spotted the post and excitedly commented on it, “That’s my daughter,” which brought cheers of support from fellow Kane fans.
And although Erin’s Instagram page is private, her bio does explain that her daughter successfully battled acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Her Twitter page also proves that Amaya is a longtime fan of Kane and loves to sing along. And, most importantly, the youngster is now three years cancer free.
Go get ’em Amaya!
