As if there wasn’t already enough to be excited about for this year’s CMA Awards, Keith Urban just made an incredible announcement via Twitter.  Not only is he going to be taking the stage at this year’s event, he’s going to be joined by none other than John (Cougar) Mellencamp himself.

While no one has explicitly said what song the duo will be performing, I’m pretty sure we’re all hoping it’ll be Urban’s latest No. 1 hit, “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16.” That would be most fitting since John Mellencamp was the inspiration for “John Cougar” in the song, right?

Either way, the two are sure to absolutely kill it at the awards.

The 49thAnnual CMA Awards are airing live Wednesday, Nov. 4 (8:0011 PM/ET) from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on the ABC Television Network.
