When Keith Urban announced his new album Graffiti U at a pop up show in Nashville back in January, the album was not completed at the time. But it looks like the Australian singer is getting closer to finalizing his tenth studio album.
Keith took to Facebook to share a snippet of a new song, “Coming Home,” that features singer Julia Michaels. If you’re not familiar with Julia, you may know her work. She’s a pop singer/songwriter who sang the Top 5 hit “Issues” and wrote songs for artists including, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Gwen Stefani.
“There’s nothin’ in the world that feels like coming home…” ✨ 3.21.18,” he wrote in the caption, indicating that the full song will be available on March 21. From the clip “Coming Home” is about acknowledging where you came from and going back home to those you love.
“The place that I know / that they all know me / I gotta get back now / the ones that love me / wrap myself around you never let you go / there’s nothing in the world that feels like coming home,” the two artists sing in the tease.
In addition, the 50-year-old singer has been in the studio working on the new album. He’s been sharing his progress on social media as he finishes up his tenth studio album. Graffiti U is the follow up to Keith’s highly successful Ripcord, which featured several No. singles, including “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” “Wasted Time” and “Break On Me.”
While Keith has released “Female” and “Parallel Line,” he mentioned during the pop up show that he wasn’t sure at the time if these songs would appear on the album. Apparently, it’s still a work in progress.
