Fans certainly came first Monday night (April 23), when Keith Urban and Spotify teamed up for the Spotify Fans First private event at Houston Station in Nashville.
Over 150 lucky Keith Urban fans helped the superstar celebrate the upcoming release of his new album Graffiti U. Keith gave his fans an exclusive first-listen to the new album, before taking the stage for an acoustic set and Q&A session.
“There is a weird voice in my head that comes in just before I perform that says ‘don’t forget the words,'” Keith said from the stage. The set list included “Female,” Coming Home” and “Paint it on Sunday.”
But it was when Keith invited his actress wife, Nicole Kidman, on stage to join him in singing “Parallel Line” that the crowd went crazy. As Nicole was heckling her husband from the audience, he turned the spotlight on her to get her on stage with him. The screaming crowd had some say as well, convincing Nicole to join her husband on the tune.
In addition, fans were able to enjoy a specially-curated Graffiti U guitar emporium and art mural exhibition, where they could take photos with the guitars.
Graffiti U is Keith’s ninth studio album, due out April 27. The Graffiti U Tour with Kelsea Ballerini kicks off on June 15 in St. Louis.
