“I hope you did this song. It’s really, really beautiful and it’s by Miranda Lambert. It’s called ‘Tin Man,'” Kelly says from the stage. She then begins to belt out the heart-wrenching ballad.

Hey there, Mr. Tin Man/ You don’t know how lucky you are / You shouldn’t spend your whole life wishin’ / For something bound to fall apart / Every time you’re feeling empty / Better thank your lucky stars / If you ever felt one breakin’ / You’d never want a heart,” the song goes.

“Tin Man,” featured on MirandaPlatinum certified double album The Weight of These Wings, is a note to the character the Tin Man, who in the movie “The Wizard of Oz ” longed for a heart. The song explains that he’s lucky he doesn’t have a heart so he wouldn’t have to experience the pain of heart break and all that comes along with it.

Kelly takes the song to a new level with her searing vocals that can make you feel the pain behind the song. “She’s one hell of a writer,” Kelly says to the crowd at the end of the song. That she is.

The Meaning of Life Tour and we’re sure, more incredible performances, will continue through March with opening acts Kelsea Ballerini and “The Voice” winner Brynn Cartelli.
