In a new promo, Kelly takes on Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” hit, playing many different professions. Kelly starts by jumping out of bed, as the song suggests, and enjoying a cup of coffee to start the day. After a shower, Kelly is on the job. She begins playing a mechanic and switches to a waitress. From there, Kelly becomes a construction worker, firefighter and policewoman.  It’s all in a days work for the super mom, wife and singer who will begin her first day on the job on September 9.

Kelly has spoken often about her new talk show and how she feels about the new gig.

“I don’t find hosting to be super different from being a coach on ‘The Voice,’” Kelly admitted. “It’s talking with people and it’s being comfortable in your skin, which I’m super good at. Almost too good at. I should probably not be as comfortable.”

“In her new daytime talk show, Kelly Clarkson uses her gift of connection to bring viewers something new: a fun, energetic show that breaks with tradition, a press release from NBC describes. ” In each episode audiences will experience an hour full of remarkable stories, celebrity guests, spontaneous surprises, humor, heart and, of course, good music. It’s like a weekday brunch party with a fascinating guest list of people who would otherwise never meet.”
