Hillary Scott recently celebrated her seventh wedding anniversary with husband Chris Tyrrell. The Lady Antebellum singer shared a sweet message with Chris on Instagram on January 7 to commemorate the occasion.
“7 years ago we embarked on our greatest adventure,” she captions a photo taken on their honeymoon. “Happy Anniversary @chrisetyrrell. You are my favorite.”
Hillary married Chris, a drummer, on January 7, 2012 in upstate New York surrounded by family and friends.
“We got married! We just wanted you to hear it from us first,” Hillary said at the time in a video posted to Lady Antebellum’s website. “We love you. We’re so excited to be starting our life together and we just had to let you in on the exciting news.”
Hillary wore a custom Vera Wang gown for the occasion while Chris donned a gray Ermenegildo Zegna suit. The couple first met in college but reconnected years later in 2010 while both were on tour opening for Tim McGraw. Chris was a drummer for Love and Theft at the time. One year later he popped the question during the 4th of July holiday.
The couple has three daughters together. They welcomed twin daughters, Betsy Mack and Emory JoAnn, into the world on January 29 of last year. The mom of three has since shared how she juggles her busy family life through social media, often posting adorable photos of her twins. Chris, who for the past several years served as Lady A’s drummer, decided to take 2018 off to help raise their three daughters while Hillary was on tour.
“I’ve been a bandmate, employee, husband and dad, so I’m okay removing a hat,” Chris previously told People. “Besides, when you looked at whether the band could do without me or her, there wasn’t much question!”
