We’re used to seeing Lindsay Ell looking fit and hitting the gym, practicing yoga, and enjoying a healthy snack. But a recent photo she shared on her socials reflected that something less than healthy has been going on for the talented and beautiful entertainer.

The caption accompanying a serious photo of the singer, songwriter, and musician, explained everything.

“I don’t have cancer, but the doctor found pre-cancerous cells growing in my body that need to be removed,” she wrote. “Sometimes we think we’re fine. Sometimes we think we eat healthy and workout, and that means we should be fine. But never underestimate the power of a check up at the doctor. You never know, and if you catch something early enough, it could save your life. Going in for surgery today, gonna get this stuff out of my body.”

Lindsay doesn’t get specific with the type of pre-cancerous cells were found, but that doesn’t even matter. What matters is early detection and dealing with the diagnosis, which she is doing with an obvious amount of strength and an incredible amount of support. Family, friends, and fans are commenting with prayers and inspiring words, as well as fellow artists like Carly Pearce, Cassadee Pope, Lucie Silvas, RaeLynn and Charles Esten who share encouraging comments for their friend.

“Love,” Kristian Bush wrote.

“Sending prayers girl,” Carly Pearce added.

“Love you,” Raelynn said.

We add our healing thoughts and prayers for great results and rapid recovery from Lindsay’s surgery, and future good health.

Lindsay is scheduled to perform in Berlin in just a few days as part of the wildly popular C2C Festival. From Europe, she goes to Australia for a run of shows, before ending March in Tokyo.
