Tim McGraw makes Christmas pasta for his family on Christmas. Lee Brice and his family have enjoyed the Italian “Feast of Seven Fishes,” and many of our favorite Texas country stars enjoy a tamale tradition for Christmas Eve. Italian, Mexican, even Chinese food are celebrated seasonal traditions for many, but Luke Bryan keeps it all-American when he’s awaiting Santa’s arrival.
It’s chili dogs at the Bryan homestead, and it always has been, thanks to his mother,
LeClaire. But it isn’t just eating wieners, it’s also wearing jammies.
In a post on his Instagram page, Luke explains, “We have a pajama night and we do chili dogs on Christmas Eve.” The country music superstar says that his family has alway done it that way.

“My mother comes up,” he continues. “She makes me go shop with her, so we have to pick out all the right stuff. We have to get the proper buns, the proper wieners. It’s very important, all-beef wieners for chili dog cooking. So, we’re eating chili dogs in pajamas.”
Luke adds, “Any time you can come up with fun traditions and hold true to them…so, yeah.
Cooking chili dogs in a onesie is pretty special.”

Last year, Luke and Caroline shared a photo of their family Christmas Eve, which doesn’t just include Luke’s mom and their boys, Bo and Tate, but also their beloved nieces and nephew, Til, who went to the next level with his Buddy the Elf get-up.
We look forward to seeing this year’s celebration.
