The weather may have been warm in Riviera Maya, Mexico during Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa, but Luke and Lauren Alaina brought the heat with a rocking version of “Meant To Be.”

Crash My Playa four-day concert sold out for a fifth consecutive year and featured two headline shows by Luke as well as Thomas Rhett and Luke Combs. Additional performers included Dustin Lynch, Jake Owen, Chris Janson, Mitchell Tenpenny, Lauren Alaina, Jon Langston, Travis Denning, Kendell Marvel, and DJ Rock.

But when Luke and Lauren took the stage for the Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line hit, “Meant to Be,” the crowd was in for a good time.

If it’s meant to be, it’ll be, it’ll be / Baby, just let it be / If it’s meant to be, it’ll be, it’ll be / Baby, just let it be / So, won’t you ride with me, ride with me? See where this thing goes / If it’s meant to be, it’ll be, it’ll be / Baby, if it’s meant to be,” they sang in the chorus.

As the song came to an end, and Lauren’s vocals soared, Luke let her take it away. “I can’t sing in this song pitch,” Luke said as he embraced Lauren.”If you’re going to try and ruin your career, try and do it in Mexico.”

Lauren and Luke also treated the crowd to “Home Alone Tonight,” a song Luke recorded with Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild. Maybe, just maybe there’s a duet in Lauren and Luke’s future. We can only hope.
