Not just anybody in country music can be nominated for CMA Entertainer of the Year. Entertainer of the Year is all about the performer on stage, their leadership, fanbase, attitude and their contribution to the image of country music. It’s no wonder Luke Bryan is the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year and up for the award again at the 49th Annual CMA Awards.
Luke loves what he gets to do for a living and it comes through each and every time he takes the stage.
4 Reasons Luke Bryan Was Nominated for CMA Entertainer of the Year:
Luke’s Kick the Dust Up tour has sold out 10 straight stadium shows and every arena in between. Also, he plays a whole series of shows on farms to really connect with his fans. Not many artists can say they have sold out a stadium in Denver and a farm in Tennessee.
2. Rabid Fanbase
With 4.9 million Twitter followers and over 8 million fans on Facebook, Luke has more fans than New York City has residents. People are so crazy about him, Luke calls his fan club the Nut House.
Luke wasn’t handed his country music career on a silver platter, he worked his way up in the industry just like everybody else. Tragedy has struck Luke’s family more than once, but his kind-hearted nature and joyful attitude has carried him on in his career even in the darkest of times.
4. Image of Country Music
This could mean a lot of different things, but safe to say– Luke’s image only helps country music.
