While Luke Bryan is out on the road for his Whatever Makes You Country Tour, the “Light it Up” singer made a detour while in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Luke stopped by Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte to lead the children in a singalong of his hit song, “Kick the Dust Up.” The event took place at Seacrest Studios, a broadcast media center, within pediatric hospitals for patients to explore the creative realms of radio, television and new media.
Levine Children Hospital shared a clip on Facebook, as Luke surrounded by patients, broke out his guitar and began singing. “We go way out where / There ain’t nobody / We turn this cornfield,” Luke sings. “Into a party,” the young patient continues.
“We 💙 Luke Bryan! Thanks for visiting us in #SeacrestStudios!,” the hospital wrote in their post.
This isn’t Luke’s first time singing for patients and spreading cheer. He stopped by New York City’s Lenox Hill hospital and during a stop in Atlanta, Luke performed a singalong with patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Luke’s next stop for the What Makes You Country Tour XL Stadium Sized will take him, Sam Hunt, Jon Pardi and Morgan Wallen to Boston’s Fenway Park on July 5.
