They haven’t tied the knot yet, but Luke Combs and his beautiful fiancée, Nicole Hocking, are already adding to their family.

The sweet couple, who got engaged late last year, has adopted a precious pup from Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue in Nashville. “JoJo,” a black terrier mix, came home to live with her new people on May 1 and it looks as if she is completely bonded.

Nicole shared photos on her Instagram page. One shows her with the new fur baby who seems to be smiling as big as she is. The other shows her burly country star husband-to-be in a tender “welcome to the family” moment with JoJo.

“WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, JOJO 🐶💙MY HEART IS SO FULL!!!,” Nicole wrote in the post. Luke even comments on Nicole’s post writing, “Our son.”

Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue took to Facebook to share the good news about the adoption.

“We are SO happy for little Jojo who went home today with Country Music’s own Luke Combs and his beautiful fiancé, Nicole,” they wrote on their page. “Jojo was instantaneously drawn to Luke and looked him deep in the eyes as if to say, “Where have you been all my life?” What a happy ending for a little country dog brought into our rescue. Can’t wait to see his pictures on the tour bus!”

Luke actually missed out on the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas which took place on May 1, the same day that JoJo came home. It’s uncertain if that’s the reason he and Nicole didn’t head to Vegas, but we can’t help but think it made winning three trophies that night a little sweeter.

The award-winning singer and songwriter is back out on the road this weekend, heading to the iHeart Country Fest in Austin on May 4 then the Off the Rails Country Fest in Frisco, Texas on May 5. He also has shows coming up at Red Rocks Amphitheater on May 12, CMA Music Festival on June 8, and Willie Nelson’s Fourth of July Picnic in Del Valle, Texas.

It remains to be seen if JoJo will become a tour bus pup, but we’d be surprised if he didn’t.
