Luke Combs has made chart history with his latest No. 1 single “She Got the Best of Me.” The song finds itself at No. 1 this week on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart and marks his fourth consecutive chart topper.
“She Got the Best of Me” makes Luke the first soloist to score his first four career No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. The song’s success follows previous hits “Hurricane,” “When It Rains It Pours” and “One Number Away.”
Luke penned “She Got the Best of Me” with Channing Wilson and Rob Snyder. The song is featured on his deluxe album, “This One’s For You, Too” released earlier this year. Luke’s debut album, “This One’s For You,” has spent 15 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Country chart. It is also the most streamed country album of 2018, achieving over one billion streams.
Earlier this year, Luke released the video for “She Got the Best of Me,” which served as a career retrospective. Snapshots of his rising career come in the form of a performance clip at the Coyote Joe’s in Charlotte, N.C., where he headlined years after seeing Eric Church perform there. An old concert flier shows another Luke show in North Carolina costing $10 per ticket. The crowds continue to grow and footage from a Revival show at Nashville’s Tin Roof where he first met his co-writers is shown, as are sold-out bar gigs, stadium shows and festival appearances.
Luke recently wrapped a his debut headlining European tour, which sold out months in advance and had him playing for over 12,000 fans across Birmingham, London, Glasgow, Manchester, Amsterdam and Berlin. The singer previously announced his 2019 Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour, which already has 26 out of the 28 venues announced sold out.
