If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Luke Combs should feel over-the-moon flattered by the young men he has covering his most recent smash, “Beer Never Broke My Heart.”

Very young men.

Some savvy parents captured video of their young songs belting out “Beer Never Broke My Heart” and their posts caught Luke’s delighted attention, especially when one of the little nuggets clutches an ice cold root beer and dresses like the entertainer.

Luke shared the video on his own social media pages and said, “Long neck ice cold root beer never broke my heart? Haha, these videos are awesome. Think it’s safe to say the future of country music is in good hands with these kids!”

The other youngster performing Luke’s smash opted for his own stylist, but he picks up a guitar for his performance, and he elevates the twang to an extreme that makes him a shoo-in for a career in country music.

We agree with Luke. The future of country music is in fine shape as long as he continues to influence and inspire the next generation of singers and songwriters. And, who knows! Maybe after he a fiancée Nicole Hocking tie the not, we could have some direct descendants of the Combs bloodline.
