After celebrating his No. 1 hit “When it Rains it Pours,” Luke Combs surprised his pals and songwriters Ray Fulcher, Dan Isbell and Jonathon Singleton with a fishing trip to Los Barriles, Mexico.
“What these three dudes mean to everything that I’ve done, I’ll never be able to explain,” Luke said of his pals.
A lover of fishing and the outdoors, Luke’s trip kicked off a partnership with Columbia sportswear, a brand he’s been wearing since his early days. The four friends got to try out the brand’s performance fishing gear (PFG) while boating on the high seas, and singing a few songs on the beach.
“Having a good time, it’s just the best part about doing music,” Luke said in the video from the trip. “I’m sore right now though, very sore right now. All because of a fish. It was strong though.”
In a video titled, “This One’s for My Crew,” Luke documents the once-in-a-lifetime fishing trip, where he reeled in his first Tuna—a whopping 75 lbs.— and treats locals to a beach performance of “Hurricane.”
“I got blood allover my nice clothes. That’s what they’re made for through,” Luke said after the catch. “If I can do this, anybody can do anything.”
In the meantime, Luke is back at work gearing up for June 1 release of the deluxe version of his album This One’s For You, which features five brand new tracks.
