Maren Morris has been on the road with Niall Horan throughout his Flicker World Tour where the two singers team up on stage each night for the former One Direction member’s song “Seeing Blind.” Featured on his debut solo album Flicker released last year, Maren also provides guest vocals on the studio recording.
Fans not in attendance during the concert leg oversees can get a glimpse of the tour thanks to a new video filmed while in Sydney, Australia, on June 5. A film crew was on hand throughout the performance and caught a close-up of Niall and Maren singing the song that night.
Niall kicked off “Seeing Blind” on his own center stage with his acoustic guitar and after finishing the first verse, he introduced the audience to his duet partner. “Ladies and gentleman, Maren Morris,” he said to screams.
Maren then entered, dressed in tight fitting red pants and a black crop top, as the two harmonized on the upbeat power ballad. For three minutes, it was obvious that the singers were at ease on stage together as their spellbinding harmonies were at the forefront of the song.
Ahead of the Flicker Tour, Niall and Maren performed “Seeing Blind” together at the 2018 CMA Awards in November. A hint of their current tour together, they also offered a stripped down acoustic version of the track earlier this year.
This is far from the first time the “I Could Use a Love Song” singer has collaborated in the pop world. Her massive crossover hit, “The Middle,” with Zedd and Grey hit No. 1 earlier this year. Maren continues to showcase her ability to take the stage with a varied lineup as she is set to perform with several women in early 2019 as part of the inaugural female festival, Girls Just Wanna Weekend. Hosted by Brandi Carlile, Maren joins the all-female roster which includes Indigo Girls, Margo Price,Patty Griffin, Lucius, KT Tunstall, The Secret Sisters and Ruby Amanfu.
