When Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town announced their co-headliningThe Bandwagon Tour, we didn’t know what to expect. But after kicking off the spectacular pairing last week in North Carolina, we got a good taste.
The two A-list acts certainly give concert-goers a lot of bang for their buck. Fans are treated to hits from LBT and Miranda, but it’s when the two acts hit the stage together that the fireworks really begin. The two bands joined forces on the Dixie Chicks hit “Goodbye Earl,” Miranda’s “Little Red Wagon” and “Tin Man” and LBT’s “Boondocks” and “Girl Crush.”
LBT kicked off the song and the crowd went wild when Miranda stepped up to the mic to sing “I got it real bad / Want everything she has / That smile and that midnight laugh / She’s giving you now.” Not that the foursome needed any help on the tune, but adding a superstar and eight time ACM Female Vocalist of the Year winner doesn’t hurt. In fact, it makes it down right exhilirating to watch.
Miranda and Little Big Town announced the Bandwagon Tour in January. The joint run continues through August and includes openers Turnpike Troubadours and The Steel Woods for select dates and newcomer Tenille Townes.
